Amy and Kevin were married at a beautiful place called The Water’s Edge in Sea Bright, New Jersey. The skies were blue and the crowd very happy to see these two exchange vows as you can see from the smiles behind them!
Amy and Kevin met in Middle School and as her father told stories at his toast during the reception, they stood arm and arm.
They really enjoyed themselves along the surf - I was pretty warm, so I can’t imagine how Kevin endured his Marine uniform in the sun (and he thought boot camp was hard!)
This wasn’t the first heart drawn…watch out for rolling waves! How beautiful they look together.
Love this shot! The toss!
The cliffs along the beach made some nice dramatic and creative shots on the rocks. The Water’s Edge has that great nautical blue paint which inspired the next image.
Best wishes to you both!
Remember that one nice, sunny day we had in April? God shined on Iliana & Gary that day as they celebrated their wedding on April 17th.
When I started going through their images for the blog I realized that I was really drawn to black & white. Although there are many really nice color images, their skin tones really worked well in black & white.
I love this image of the beautiful bride, Iliana, arriving to the church in the limo. The look on her face is a little nervous and a little excited. If you look closely you can see the reflection of the cross and the top of the church in the car!
And here is the handsome groom, Gary - excited - happy to be with his friends and closely eying his watch!
That beautiful sunshine was streaming through just behind them giving them even more of a glow than they already had! This is the moment I love to look for in a wedding - when they are looking at each other not thinking about who is looking at them!
The kiss! Magical in black and white. Timeless!
We made a stop at Verona Park for some bridal party photos. The park was full of people - fisherman, kids running around - and one couple that insisted on paddling their boat in the back of all of my shots!
I always think the wedding party thinks I am crazy when I line them up and then say OK - now walk towards me. The laughter comes when they realized that I am moving backward all ready to fall on my butt!
We had warm afternoon sun on Iliana and Gary - relaxing more as the afternoon progressed. What a really nice couple they make!
We had a little time to play around. Below is a shot that I think is also timeless.
And finally - here is that look again. Doesn’t every woman dream of a man who will look at her like this? Doesn’t every man dream of a woman to look at him like this?
Congratulations Iliana & Gary. I am looking forward to following your story!
You may recognize Rachel & Nick from their engagement portraits early last summer. Well, the day finally came and they are married! We were lucky to have a lot of time for our “pre” wedding photos. I found it difficult choosing images for the blog, but here goes. Rachel was a beautiful bride - we were lucky to have lots of natural light in the room where she was getting dressed - so these shots were all done using the light from the window.
She was relaxing before the wedding and was really easy to work with. I think her dress really extenuated her best features!
This image should have a title called “as she arrives!” Rachel was so calm!
I realize that I skipped a lot here - but I love the excitement after the wedding. Just leaving the church there is such a sense of happiness - relief - pure joy. It is one of my favorite moments in a wedding.
And the feeling is contagious - the wedding party feels it - the guests feel it. It is a magical moment.
And here’s to happily ever after for Rachel and Nick. May they have many wonderful years filled with joy!
The Mayor of Trenton was quoted in the paper saying that Christine & Daniel’s Wedding at the Trenton Farmer’s Market was a “Jersey Fresh Wedding”. And that it was. About 150 people lined the narrow hallway of the market to witness two of their own tying the knot!
Daniel was the unofficial mayor of the day. As the final preparations were being made, Daniel floated around talking to a reporter from the Trenton Times and greeting the guests who came from all walks of life. His smile was ear to ear waiting for his bride to arrive.
Christine was calm, looking beautiful and wearing her smile when she arrived in the limo with her Mom.
As part of the ceremony, two friends performed “You’ve Got a Friend”. As the crowd joined in on the chorus, there were not many dry eyes in the place. The look Daniel gave Christine was enough to bring tears to many.
I think this is my favorite image of the day. It was at this moment that the Minister pronounced them husband and wife. The crowd roared!
And the deal is sealed!
All the best to Christine & Daniel! And don’t forget - stop by the Trenton Farmer’s Market. Grab a sandwich! You never know what might be going on!
The October 13th issue of the Trenton Times featured an article about the wedding of Christine & Daniel at the Farmer’s Market. This photo was amongst a few they put with the article.
For those of you not quick to recognize the back of my head (Ha!) that is me on the left. I actually battled with the photographer from the paper for space throughout the ceremony. Nice guy in the end. Stay tuned for more on Christine & Daniel.
I am long overdue in posting these images from Leela and Steven’s wedding in June. Shot with my Rockstar friend, Bill Storer - we ventured to Connecticut for a beautiful ceremony at the Unitarian Church in Westport and reception at the Shorehaven Country Club in East Norwalk.
Leela got dressed at her brother’s house and I had a lot of fun shooting all the details of the wedding which will soon be used for their Bridal Album.

I love all these shots because they really help to tell the story of the day. Below, Leela is getting some help with her dress. The smiles began and never faded throughout the day!
Here Leela is descending the stairs - what a sight!
It was a beautiful day with the most gorgeous blue skies. It was a little hard explaining to the bridesmaids that yes, I was going to lay on the ground and you are all going to circle me. I think by the end of the day, they realized that I would go to great lengths to get the shot I wanted!
Still smiling!
Still smiling.
I love this shot because Steven has a look on his face like “Aren’t I a lucky guy!”
The Shorehaven Country Club was the perfect setting. We had sweet light - the time of day when the sun starts to set and shines so perfectly on people and grass but keeps the sky a brilliant blue!
It was a beautiful wedding. I told Leela today that when I was working on her images, I had a huge smile on my face reliving the day. Was it the way they looked at each other the entire day? Was it the heart-warming speech by Steven to his new bride? Was it the great band and yummy food? Probably all of the above. I can honestly say that a good time was had by all.
Bill and I wish Leela and Steven all the best as they begin their lives together!
Paul & Laurie were married on June 22, 2008 in beautiful Rockport, Mass. Rockport is a picturesque little town North of Boston and with a little help from the big guy upstairs, the weather held out to be a tropical Sunday.
Everything was beautiful - first and foremost, the Bride! There were flowers everywhere, bright containers of lemons, shiny green pears for placecards, starfish - all on a bright white New England Porch.
The setting was magnificant - on the rocky coast. Paul & Laurie braved the poison ivy for some incredible photos on the water.
It was a J Crew afternoon, mint julips followed by croquet on the lawn. Best of luck to a wonderful couple!
