Matthew awaits baby sister

November 28, 2009

I have been photographing Matthew for a few years - before he came this time, he definitely took his cute pills.

He did everything I asked him to, told me all kinds of stories and absolutely melted my heart!

Here he is one minute being the tough guy….and the next laughing his heart out.

Matthew seems to be excited to meet his baby sister due in early December.

I saw a commercial recently where the little boy asks his Mom…how long is she going to stay?  …talking about his little sister.

How cute is that? We’ll remind him of these photos one day when he isn’t so happy to have her around!  Can’t wait to meet her myself!

Did someone say twins??

January 19, 2009

I remember distinctly the day my brother came home from the hospital after he was born.  I was 6.  I asked “How long is he going to stay?”

If you have been to my blog before, you’ll know Maison.  She’s my website cover girl!  Her world is about to be turned upside down since her Mom is expecting twins in March.  This first image may capture some of her apprehension?

Here she is listening to her new little brothers.

Can we believe that there are 2 babies in there?  Michelle looks beautiful.  I love her images in color and sepia.

Maison enjoyed running BEHIND my background a little more than actually being in the photos, but I did grab this one that I really LOVE.

My Mother used reverse psychology on my sister and I when we were little.  When we would be fighting, she would sit us down on the stairs together and say “Now, whatever you do, don’t laugh!”  In no time we would be fast-friends again.  Here is my “don’t smile Maison” picture!  Thanks Mom!

We can’t wait to meet the little boys!  Rest up Michelle!  You’re going to need it!

Mommie-to-be

January 13, 2009

My cousin Glenn married the most beautiful woman a number of years ago - and we are so happy that they are expecting their first baby together in just a few weeks.  A girl - the name is a highly guarded secret and I doubt even with all the hints in the world for “Lea” - it’s just not going to happen!

Sara came in and we had a great time photographing the bump.  This first image should have a caption like “Look what I did!”

When I set up the shoot for Sara, I imagined that I would do all black & white - it was really the way I set up my lights, but when I started converting a few of the images to Sepia - I loved the results.  Sara’s coloring really worked well with Sepia - take a look!

Next I changed up the lights a little for some drama.

Sara looks amazing - her belly is seriously just a basketball.  I told her she should have started younger and had a whole slew of kids - she makes such a beautiful pregnant woman.

We can’t wait - come on time little girl because we can’t wait to meet you!
